Milestone after a quick jump into the past with pre-order DLCs make another step back in time with Renault-Alpine A110 1660 (1973) and Ford Rs200 (1985). This two new car models enter into the garage – that features more than 60 cars – of Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo, scheduled for release on October 2015 on Xbox One®, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, PlayStation®4 and Windows PC/Steam.

Designed as a replacement for the aging A108, the Renault Alpine A110 was a substantial upgrade in terms of mechanics and chassis despite maintaining the look of the previous model. The engine came in a variety of configurations over the years. In its first version, it used the same engine as the Renault R8 with 950 cc and 50 hp, which was sufficient to reach speeds of 100 mph. Displacement and performance were later increased, and in 1973 the Alpine could deliver 148 hp and weighed just 730 kg. In this configuration, the car was able to reach speeds of 134 mph. This car’s history is closely linked to that of rally. As soon as it was available on the market, it was used in competitions and achieved excellent results. It won first place in the Championship of Manufacturers in 1973 and won rally victories in Monaco, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Italy and Corsica.

In 1981 Ford Motorsport began working on a car to compete in Group B. The first attempt — the Escort RS1700T — was not completed because of a slew of technical problems. However, the US manufacturer did not abandon its ambitions and came out with the Ford RS200 in 1984. The car had 4-wheel drive and a 1803 cc mid-mounted engine with the racing version capable of delivering up to 460 hp. Equipped with 5-speed transmission, the RS200 had double wishbone suspensions with two shock absorbers per wheel on both the front and rear: these gave the car excellent driveability and road holding. The design of the chassis was so important that Formula 1 engineers were involved, while plastic and fibreglass were used for the body. Given the limited time to complete the project, many of the RS200’s parts were borrowed from other Ford cars.

Currently in development at Milestone studios in Italy, Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo will be available in autumn 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and PC/Steam
